De Hello Dolly y otras cosas...

Al fin terminé la ilustración de Hello Dolly que empecé hace unos días.
Tengo que reconocer que la razón por la que quise ver esta película fue Wall-e, así que tiempo después la conseguí en oferta y me gustó mucho. Hace unos días la volví a ver porque me sentía un poco de bajón y las canciones de Hello Dolly me alegraron mucho, así que me decidí a hacer esta ilustración.
Ahora, cambiando de tema, les contaré un poco lo que he estado haciendo estos días:
Resulta que desde hace tiempo, mi novio y yo estamos haciendo un cuento. Él ya hizo el texto, y yo estoy trabajando las ilustraciones. Hace mucho tiempo empecé con las ilustraciones, pero por alguna razón sentía que no estaban quedando bien, así que dejé el proyecto de lado.
Hace un par de meses, lo volví a retomar, estuve trabajando en el storyboard y elegí un par de páginas para empezar a trabajar en los colores y el estilo, pero nuevamente no me estaba convenciendo el resultado (estas cosas que pasan con la creatividad, que a veces se pierde un poco en el espacio), y como sabrán, apenas este año es que he decidido dedicarme de lleno a la ilustración, así que se que todavía me falta mucho por aprender.
Y por eso decidí inscribirme a un curso online de ilustración, que es precisamente lo que he estado haciendo estos días, lo he tomado sin descanso para poder absorber todo lo que pueda y ahora ya solo me queda presentar el proyecto final para poder terminarlo. Tomar el curso me ayudó a ver los problemas que tengo con las ilustraciones del cuento y saber de que manera puedo mejorarlas y qué es lo que debo cambiar.
Así que eso es todo lo que he hecho estos días y se los quería compartir.

So finally i finished the Hello Dolly illustration i started some days ago.
I have to recognize that Wall-e was the reason why i wanted to watch this movie, i found it in a sale and i really liked it. Some days ago i watched it again because i was feeling a little gloomy and this movie's songs cheered me up and i decided to make this illustration.
Now, i'll tell you what i've been doing lately:
Since some time ago, my boyfriend and I are making a children's book. He already finished the text and i'm working in the illustrations. I started with those time ago, but for some reason i was feeling that the final result wasn't working for me, so i decided to take a break of that project.
A couple of months ago, i started the project again, working in the storyboard and i chose a couple of pages to work with colors and style, but again that wasn't working. As you now, just this year i decided to work fulltime as an illustrator but i know there are many things to learn.
And that's why i signed into an illustration online course, to help me figure out what i've being doing wrong and what i can improve in my illustrations. I've learn a lot and now i feel more confident about what i have to do.
So that's what i've been doing these days and i just wanted to share it with you.
