Ayer recibí un maravilloso regalo de mi novio y mi suegra: 4 maravillosos libros!
  • The Art of Tangled de Jeff Kurtti, con maravillosas ilustraciones y arte conceptual que el maestro Glen Keane y muchos otros talentosos artistas hicieron para la película Enredados de Disney.
  • LOVELY - Ladies of Animation, con arte de Lorelay Bové, Mingjue Helen Chen, Claire Keane, Lisa Keene, Brittney Lee y Victoria Ying; todas ilustradoras maravillosas que han trabajado en los estudios Disney.
  • Blueberry Girl de Neil Gaiman, otro hermoso cuento de Neil con ilustraciones de Charles Vess, que ya ha colaborado con él en otras ocasiones; y
  • The Best of Archie Comics - Book Three (ya tengo los dos primeros), una compilación de las mejores historietas de Archie desde su surgimiento en los años 40’s.
Estoy super feliz con mis regalos, por lo pronto, ya leí Blueberry Girl y es precioso :)

Yesterday i received a wonderful gift from my boyfriend and mother in law: 4 amazing books!
  • The Art of Tangled by Jeff Kurtti, with marvellous illustrations and conceptual art that the master Glen Keane and many other amazing artists made for this animated movie.

I’m super happy with my gifts, for the moment, i’ve already read Blueberry Girl and it’s gorgeous :)

26 - Videojuego / videogame: el único que jugué alguna vez, fue Pacman / the only one i used to play was Pacman.

28 - Un vagabundo / A hobo: ¿Recuerdan la noticia del vagabundo con una gran voz de radio? ese señor realmente me impresionó / Do you remember the man with a great radio voice? that really impressed me.

30 - Un momento de concierto / A concert moment: tuve que ir a un concierto de un grupo que no me gustaba, de música que no me gustaba, y no lo pasé muy bien / A concert moment: i had to go to a concert which i didn't like the group or the kind of music, and i didn't have a great time.

Cuando era niña, mis papás tenían una tiendita, y en el aparador había una muñeca tipo Barbie con el pelo largo largo con los colores del arcoiris, me paraba frente al mostrador a mirarla todo el tiempo... hasta que Santa Claus me la trajo en Navidad :)

When i was a child, my parents had a little store, and there was a Barbie-type doll with long rainbow-colored hair in the display window, i used to starred at the doll all the time... until i got it as Xmas present :)

Día 17: Primer enamoramiento.

Christopher Reeve como Superman.
Ví la película por primera vez cuando era niña y quedé enamorada de Superman, sus ojos, su sonrisa, todo... siempre babeaba (todavía lo hago) cuando veo la película.
Para mí, Reeve es el único y verdadero Superman.

Día 16: Un accidente o dolor grave en tu vida.

Cuando tenía 4 años tuve una cirugía mayor,  no recuerdo mucho, solo algunas cosas. Mi doctor era un señor canoso y muy alto con bigotes, el Dr. Rubens, yo siempre tenía suero o mangueritas conectadas, mi mamá y mis tías siempre estaban conmigo cuidándome y dándome gelatina, y me regalaron una muñeca de piernas largas largas a la que llamé "la patas", que estaba colgada a un lado de mi cama.

Gracias a esa operación tengo una cicatriz enorme, pero también una enorme vida :)

Day 16: A mayor accident/pain in your life.

When i was 4 i had a mayor surgery, i don't remember a lot, just few things. My doctor was a very tall - gray haired man, Dr. Rubens, i always had some kind of serum connected to my arm, my mom and aunts were always taking care of me and feeding me with jelly, and somebody gave me a doll with very very long legs, that i called "la patas (she legs)" that was hung besides my bed (sorry if my english it's not the best.)

Thanks to this surgery i have a hug scar, but also, a huge life :)

Día 12: Qué querías ser cuando fueras grande.

Ufff, tengo una lista enorme: quería ser doctora, administradora, bailarina, princesa, gimnasta olímpica, patinadora, pintora... y diseñadora de modas. Me imaginaba caminando por las calles de una ciudad llena de edificios modernos, comiendo un café y un panecillo antes de llegar corriendo a mi estudio jeje. Creo que por eso me gustan la películas Sex and the City y El Diablo viste a la Moda.

De niña, le hacía ropa a mis barbies con retazos de tela que encontraba en la casa y con papel, las vestía y les hacía peinados imposibles y las ponía a caminar por una pasarela imaginaria.

La vida me llevó a estudiar diseño gráfico, pero creo que hubiera sido una buena diseñadora de modas también.

Day 12: What did u want to be when grew up.

Ufff, my list is really large: i wanted to be a doctor, manager, dancer, princess, olympic gymnast, skater, painter... and fashion designer. I pictured myself walking on the streets of a modern city, eating a muffin and a coffee in my way to the studio hehe. I think that's why i like the movies Sex and the City and Devil wears Prada.

When i was a child, i used to make clothes for my barbies with fabric scraps and paper, i dressed them up and make impossible hairdos, and make them walk on an imaginary runway.

Life led my to study graphic design, but i think i wuld have been a good fashion designer.

Día 10: Memoria de mi ciudad.

Hace años que no vivo en la ciudad donde crecí, y todos esos años crecí viendo a mi papá cantar y tocar la guitarra y otros instrumentos. El era realmente alegre y era el alma de las fiestas, y no es porque sea mi papá pero tenía una gran voz y era buen músico. Seguro que en el cielo están muy felices con él porque les llevó mucha alegría (no creo que San Pedro se oponga a unas buenas serenatas).

Day 10: Home town memory.

Long time i haven't lived in my home town, but all those years i grew up watching my father singing and playing the guitar and another instruments. He was really happy and the center of all parties, he had a great voice and was a good musician. I'm sure everybody in heaven is very happy just because he is there with all his happiness and music (i'm sure St. Peter doesn't complaint for some good serenades.)

Día 8: Parque de diversiones.

No hay duda alguna de que mi parque favorito es Disney World en Florida, podría ir mil veces ahí - claro que para eso necesito mucho dinero. Gracias a mis papás tuve la suerte de estar en Disney World dos veces y me gustaría volver a ir y sentirme nuevamente como niña.

Día 5: Película favorita.

Esto fue muy difícil porque tengo varias películas favoritas, pero la que últimamente me gusta más es Julie & Julia de Nora Ephron, la película es simplemente adorable, me encantan las actuaciones de Meryl Streep y Amy Adams. Cuando me siento un poco triste, veo esta película y siempre consigue sacarme una sonrisa.

Día 2: Deporte favorito.

No soy fan de los deportes, pero cuando era niña, tenía ganas de ser patinadora. Ví una película llamada Castillos de Hielo y esa fue la culpable de que me gustara el patinaje... veía las olimpiadas de invierno y le pedí a mis papás que me compraran unos patines en línea, que terminaron muy gastados y yo con muchos raspones y moretones en las rodillas.
Fue hasta que estuve de vacaciones en la ciudad de México que mis primos me llevaron a una pista de hielo, y fui muy feliz :)

Day 2: Favorite sport.

I'm not a sport fan, but when i was a child, i wanted to be an ice skater. I saw a movie called Ice Castles and since then i liked the ice skating... i watched the winter olympics and i asked to my parents to buy me inline skates, that brought me a lot of knee scars.
It was until i was on vacation in Mexico city that my cousins led me to an icerink and i was very happy.

¿Qué tan lejos llega tu creatividad?
La Panamericana School of Art and Design, lanzó esta campaña publicitaria en todos los medios impresos, que hacía ésta pregunta. Circulos, cruces y líneas, en anuncios de revista, en manteletas, servilletas, paneles y muros, fueron usados como punto de partida para realizar garabatos o grafitti, resultando en una serie de respuestas fascinantes. 
Esta campaña ganó un Gold Press Lion en el Cannes International Advertising Festival del 2009.
Así que aquí les dejo dos pequeños ejercicios por si quieren garabatear un poco.

Panamericana School of Art and Design launched an integrated recruitment advertising campaign using print, poster, outdoor and ambient media to ask this question. Circles, crosses and lines in magazine advertisements, on placemats, serviettes, wall panels and graffiti walls, were used as the starting points for doodles, grafitti, resulting in a range of fascinating responses. The campaign won a Gold Press Lion at Cannes International Advertising Festival 2009.
