Taller de Acuarela + Mix media con Siamés Escalante

Este domingo tuve la suerte de asistir a un taller de Acuarela + Mix Media impartido por la ilustradora Siamés Escalante y organizado por Casa Diseño Nawala.

A pesar de ser un taller de pocas horas, pude aprender cosas nuevas y Siamés fue muy atenta dándonos asesería personal durante los ejercicios. Platicamos, aprendimos, nos dieron snacks para pasar el día y tuve la oportunidad de conocer a gente supertalentosa que al igual que yo, quería aprender más de una de sus ilustradoras favoritas.

Compré unos prints y un pin de Siamés, y me firmó uno de los prints :)

This sunday i was lucky enough to attend to a Watercolor + Mix Media workshop imparted by illustrator Siamés Escalante and organized by Casa Diseño Nawala.

Despite being a very short workshop, i learned a lot of new things and Siamés was very helpful giving us personal advice during the practice. We talked and learned, they gave us snacks for the day and i have the chance to meet very talented people that like myself wanted to learn more from one of our favorite illustrators.

I bought some pins and prints, and Siamés signed one of my prints.

Siguiendo con la temática de Mermay y para celebrar el día de Star Wars (May the 4th be with you), decidí dibujar a la princesa Leia y a Luke Skywalker.
También les compartó un pequeño concierto que dio hace poco John Williams para celebrar Star Wars, porque la verdad es que la saga no sería lo mismo sin la música de este señorón.

Following the Mermay theme and celebrating the Star Wars day (May the 4th be with you), i decided to draw princess Leia and Luke Skywalker.
Also, i'm sharing a little concert John Williams' gave few days ago, as Star Wars celebration, because, to be truth, these movies wouldn't be the same without Mr. Williams music.

Ya terminé de tomar el curso Técnicas modernas de acuarela con Ana Victoria Calderón y estuvo genial, es un curso pequeño pero muy instructivo, aprendí muchas cosas que no sabía sobre esta técnica y me hizo quererla más.
El ejercicio final fue pintar una galaxia y yo decidí agregar una ballena blanca en la composición. Abajo hay un poco del proceso.

I already finished with the watercolor course by Ana Victoria Calderón and it's great, it's a small but very instructive course, i learned a lot of thing i didn't know about this technique and this makes me love the watercolor.
The final project was painting a galaxy and i decided to add a white whale in the composition. Below you can see the process.

Aquí están mis primeros dibujos para Mermay, debo decir que me da vergüenza enseñar la segunda... esa sirena pirata quedó muy fea, pero quería hacer algo antes de acabar el día y bueno, eso pasa cuando tu cerebro y tu mano ya no pueden más.
