No, no estoy desaparecida, sólo digamos que me mudé a otro sitio virtual, un sitio en el que ahora estoy publicando todo lo que me pasa por la cabeza y además estoy compartiendo procesos de dibujo y mini tutoriales. Ese sitio se llama Patreon.

Lo pensé mucho tras darme cuenta que varias personas lo tenían y decidí probar... Para los que no conocen el sistema, es una manera de que los artistas de cualquier rubro podamos recibir una ayuda de nuestros seguidores, y como recompensa, ofrecemos compartir nuestros conocimientos o procesos de trabajo. Como seguidor puedes aportar desde 1 dólar (o más) al mes y cancelar cuando quieras. Y aunque mi contenido está abierto para todo el público, esa pequeña aportación que me puedan dar, me ayudará a seguir creando contenido.

I'm not missing, i just moved to another virtual place, a place where i've been posting everything that happens in my mind and also i'm sharing my drawing processes and short tutorials. That place is Patreon.

Así de rápido han pasado estos 3 meses y no me he dado cuenta. Siento que he hecho muchas cosas y al mismo tiempo, que no he hecho nada. He tenido trabajos de clientes, poco trabajo personal y muchos asuntos personales que atender.

 Pero entre todo esto me he dado tiempo de hacer algunas ilustraciones para el ejercicio #drawthisinyourstyle, tan popular en Instagram. Si no lo conocen, se trata de que algún ilustrador publica su arte en Instragram con ese hashtag y cualquier otro ilustrador lo puede copiar en su estilo, siempre etiquetando y dando crédito al ilustrador original.

 Aquí les dejo las 3 ilustraciones que hice, y si quieren ver tanto la ilustración original, como el time-lapse del proceso, pueden visitar mi instagram :)

 3 months have passed so fast that i didn't notice. I feel i've done a lot of things and at the same time i have that feeling of having done anything. I have had client work, few personal work and many personal issues to attend.

 But within all this stuff, i made some time to make some illustrations for the exercise #drawthisinyourstyle, so popular in Instagram. If you don't know what it is, it's when one illustrator post some art in instagram with that hashtag and then any other illustrator can make his/her own version of that illustration, always tagging and giving credit to the original author.

Mucho tiempo sin estar por aquí ¿verdad?

Pero bueno, ahora les quiero compartir tres ilustraciones que hice en estos días, las empecé desde junio y apenas hoy terminé la última.

No es que haya estado tantos días dibujando, realmente lo que pasó es que tuve varios proyectos de diseño en los que enfoqué mis energías y la otra razón por la que tardé tantos días en terminarlas es porque tuve un bajón creativo, veía mis materiales de dibujo y no me daban ganas de trabajar en ello. Esto me pasa a veces sin tener una razón en especial, es más por falta de inspiración... ¿a ustedes les ha pasado?

En fin, estoy muy contenta con el resultado de las 3 ilustraciones y aquí les dejo las fotografías (no son muy buenas, tengo que mejorar en eso)

Las dos primeras ya están disponibles en mis tiendas, y la última estará lista en los siguientes días.
Espero que les gusten tanto como a mi :)

Long time away from here, right?

Well, now i want to share with you these three illustrations i made lately, i start them on june and just today i finished the last one.

It's not that i expended all this time drawing, the thuth is i had some design projects that need my attention, and the other reason it take so long to finish is because a have a lack of energy for drawing, i didn't feel creative enough, i saw my art supplies and didn't have the mood to draw. Sometimes this happen to me without a reason, i think is more just lack of inspiration... does this happen to you?

Well, i'm very happy with the result of these illustrations and here are the pictures of them (not very good pics i have to say, i have to improve that).
I hope you like them as much as i like them :)

Finalmente acabo el Mermay 2018 y aunque no quedé 100% contenta con todos los dibujos, si puedo decir que mejoré mis habilidades en Procreate :)

Mermay 2018 came to an end, and althogh i was not 100% happy with all drawings, this helped me to improve my Procreate skills :)

Este primero de Mayo empieza el Mermay y ya estoy lista!

Tomando clases en Domestika

Domestika es una plataforma de cursos online para creativos y lo mejor es que está en español (no me están pagando por esto jeje). La cuestión es que ya en alguna ocasión tomé un curso en esta página, pero hace un par de meses aproveché una promoción y me compré un paquete de 3 cursos, de los cuales ya he terminado 2. Así que les cuento un poco de esta experiencia.

Primer curso: Ilustración digital con lápices de colores.

Este es un curso impartido por Mercedes deBellard, a quien ya seguía desde hace tiempo en Instagram porque me gusta mucho su estilo y tiene una serie de ilustraciones de animales que me encanta y en donde aplica esta técnica que ahora enseña en el curso. Si no la conocen todavía, les recomiendo ver su trabajo.

El curso es muy práctico, está bien explicado y sólo necesitas una computadora con Photoshop y una tableta gráfica.

Este fue mi proyecto final:
Segundo curso: Introducción a la ilustración con tinta china.

Este curso está impartido por Hilda Palafox (conocida como Poni) y que lleva una larga trayectoria como ilustradora, usando técnicas digitales y tradicionales, incluida la tinta china, y tiene como temática principal a las mujeres. También les recomiendo mucho buscarla en social media y seguir su trabajo.

Para este curso se necesitan materiales, empezando obviamente por tinta china, pinceles y papel para acuarela, por suerte yo ya tenía estos materiales y no tuve que comprar nada extra. Aproveché para usar un estuche de tinta china, comprada en China (valga la redundancia) que me regaló mi esposo y fue una linda experiencia aprender a usar este tipo de tinta.

Hola a todos, ya estoy de vuelta y cambié la imagen del blog para empezar el año.

Les comparto algunas ilustraciones que hice durante y después del viaje, y también aproveché a comprar algunos materiales de dibujo: libretas, lápices, marcadores, etc. En México hay menos variedad en marcas y precios y la verdad ir a Europa y no comprar nada era impensable.
También aprovechamos a visitar varias librerías y tiendas de cómics y nos hubiera gustado traer tantas y tantas cosas. En fin, fueron unas buenas vacaciones :)

Hi everyone, i'm back and with new image for the blog.

I'm sharing some illustrations i made during and after the trip, and also i went shopping for drawing supplies: notebooks, pencils, markers, etc. Here in México there are less options in brands and prices, so went to Europe and don't shopping would be a waste.
Also we took the change to visit some book and comic stores and we would have liked to bring a lot of stuff. These were very nice vacations :)
