Mi participación de esta semana para el Viernes de Ilustración, tema: autoretrato.

Mi perrito Goliat es un chihuahueño viejito pero enamoradizo, le encanta ir tras las perritas sin importar su tamaño y hoy que fuimos al parque vió a esta perrita de raza galgo afgano, que creo que acababa de venir de la estética porque estaba muy arreglada y con moños rosas en la cabeza. Ella muy coqueta dejaba que Goliat se acercara y la oliera. Fue un buen día para Goliat.

Goliat is my old and romantic chihuahua dog, he loves to go after all pretty female dogs, no matter the size, so today when we went to the park, he falled in love with this afghan hound that i think just come from the beauty shop because she was all clean and with little pink bows on her head. She let Goliat approach and smell her. It was a good day for Goliat.

Mi participación para el Viernes de Ilustración con el tema: Mujeres divinas.

No sabía muy bien por donde empezar con esta ilustración, así que me tomé varias fotos que usé como referencia para la pose, ya que quería que los brazos y el torzo crearan la forma de un corazón. Al final le di al pelo una forma similar, pero invertida, para dar equilibrio a la imagen.

My entry for Viernes de Ilustración, subject: Divine Women.

I didn't have clear in my mind how to start this illustration, so i took many selfies that i use as a reference for the pose, i wanted the arms and torso have a "heart" shape. And then i use the same shape for the hair, just upside down, to give some balance to the image.

Buscando archivos viejitos me encontré con esto:
Hace más de 10 años hice empaques para yogurt de diferentes sabores, me tocó hacer el diseño del empaque y las ilustraciones. En ese entonces para mi las Mac eran una novedad y las tabletas digitales ni siquiera existían en mi mente. Todo hecho en photoshop con mouse. Tomó mucho tiempo y paciencia.

Looking for old files i found this:
Ten years ago or more i made some package design for flavored yoghurt, and i have to made the illustration for these. At that time Mac computers were a novelty to me, and i didn't know that digital tablets exists, so i had to make the illustrations in photoshop with a mouse. It takes a lot of time and patience.

Bueno, este es mi estudio... cómo algunos sabrán acabo de empezar mi vida como ilustradora y diseñadora independiente, y aquí es donde trabajo, un pequeño estudio en mi casa pero que tiene todo lo que me hace feliz: una computadora, libros, comics (de Archie) y figuritas de todo tipo, en su mayoría de Disney/Pixar. Hice unos mini carteles con frases que me gustan de Dr. Seuss y las puse a la vista para animarme los días. Tengo un cartel de La Bella y la Bestia que compré en Disneyworld y un cartel de Agustina Guerrero (la volátil) que compré en Madrid, aunque no pude conocerla en persona :(

Well, as some know i just started my life as an independent illustrator and designer, and this is my workplace, and small studio in my house that has everything that makes me happy: a computer, books, comics (Archie's) and all kind of figurines, mostly Disney/Pixar. I made some mini posters with Dr. Seuss quotes for cheer me up. I also have an Beauty and the Beast poster i bought in Disneyworld and an Agustina Guerrero's poster i bought in Madrid, but i wasn't able to meet her in person, so sad :(
